I long for the old days when you could get a full Dragon Armor just by farming Kradens, or “Dragon Bugs”, since they dropped scales.

I remember, as a kid, feeling like a monster—
a beast hunter, driving creatures to extinction like they were dodos…
except this time, the dodos fought back.

    Nowadays, they’re just another enemy.
    A common one. Filler.
You could beat the whole game without even running into one.

And it’s a shame, because I still think they look awesome, haha.

I was thinking maybe they could have more of a role, so they’re not so underused.

🐀 Idea: bring them back as an urban plague (I love rats pets)
Imagine quests that ask you to hunt them down.
Let’s say they’ve become a plague in city biomes.
In these zones, they’re gray-colored, like rats.
They attack NPCs when they show up.
(Of course, they wouldn’t last long against so many NPCs, lol).
A Paula quest early in the game could send you to a city biome for the first time to take care of them.
Your goal: kill 30 of these city Dragon Bugs.

It’d be a fun mission, especially since you’d be racing NPCs to kill them before they do.

Since they live in cities and eat trash, they could drop 5–10 rare and weird items, like rings, some gold, low-quality swords or armor… stuff that feels like urban junk.

That feeling of farming them would come back again.

Reward: the worst pet in the game (but useful)
At the end of the mission, you’d be rewarded with the worst pet in the game:
    a gray Dragon Bug.

    It barely does damage.
    It has low health.
But it’s an expert at picking up items off the ground—better than any other pet.
    It has a bigger inventory.
And it doesn’t level up by fighting, but by collecting loot dropped by enemies (not by the player, to prevent abuse).

Maybe in a later mission, someone will notice how exceptional your little bug is
and send you on a quest to level it up as a pest-control unit, or something like that.
