IOS Update

Hey everyone, it feels good to be back home and working on this game once again! We have big plans for the year, but in the meantime I want to give an update on the IOS version as to where I’m currently at with it.

In my last update, I got the game successfully built in XCode and was able to play the game on an emulated iPhone 16 on my Mac. The next step was to upload this build to the App Store. I did this and it looked like it was successful. So I went to App Store Connect to view it… and it was missing. That’s when I checked my email and Apple send me a notification that I had to make some changes to the game because it was supporting some outdated plugins that Apple didn’t support anymore. So I need to talk to HH and get some of these changes fixed.

In the meantime, I’ve gone ahead and got the store pages ready for release for both versions of the game. It’s worth noting that these versions will have slightly different names attached to them because I don’t own the rights to the original names (Block Story, Block Story Premium, Block Story Free, and Block Story Lite were all taken). I’ll reveal the new names to the game soon.

There is one last thing I want to make clear when this version does go live. There might be issues with the game’s UI. It might not be properly aligned on all Apple Devices because I cannot test them all. There is a chance that some things will be cut off on your screen. We aren’t sure if this will happen or not. So if this does happen, you can report it here. It’s an easy fix if there are issues there. I apologize in advance if this does happen, there is only so much I can do there.

And that’s pretty much it. We are at the final stage of getting IOS out. This should be my last update before hitting the Release button unless something catastrophic happens. knock on wood From there, I’ll be helping out HH with Rise of The Kingdom Part 2 where the 2 of us will be working fully on new content! I’m super excited for the year ahead! It’s going to be a good one!
