Hello developer! We are players from China. After discussing with some local players (including a level 200 veteran), I’m here to share some detailed suggestions for 《Blockstory》. We even have some specific ideas—please believe us, they’re really cool! (These come from different people.)
In the storyline, the Dragon Lord twisted but strengthened Sodalax through dark magic. While this undoubtedly caused pain, there might be some benefits we can harness. Currently, pets often suffer from relatively low health. So, we thought: what if defeating a high-level Dragon Lord (or through random drops) could reward us with a black bottled substance? If we combine this with the white bottled item from Angel Goblins—and maybe even Shiva’s Mutagen (possibly also adding Dragon Hearts, Metals, Meteorite Ore, or all the lower-tier “Shells” mentioned later)—we could synthesize a brand-new equipment for pets: the “Shell” (with lower-tier versions available for gradual upgrades, which feels more comfortable~).
The Shell would be equipped in a unique pet equipment slot, providing extra health for pets. Early on, players could craft basic, lower-tier Shells. Maybe it would be cool to use a Dragon Heart or Lizard Spawner in the center of the crafting grid, along with various materials, as a recipe? The highest-tier Shell could even alter the nature of certain pets (for example, Meteor Dragons, already connected to space, could finally live in space; their attack logic, along with Phoenixes, could improve—like Meteor Dragons having a chance to spin and recalibrate their fireballs toward enemies, while Phoenixes prefer keeping distance and shooting fireballs).
This Shell could also slightly increase their attack power by 10 points!
But that’s just the beginning—the real highlight is below~
The old Dragon Armor for pets could be rebalanced to provide dedicated armor values for pets… At the same time, we could introduce basic wooden-carved Dragon Armor for pets. After helping Ted gather materials for building his city and mines, players would unlock this recipe (Ted could hint beforehand that he’s skilled in woodcarving, haha). The basic Shell recipe could be placed after defeating the Black Werewolf, helping early-game players take down the Giant T-Rex! Perhaps only after we’ve crafted full armor sets for our pets would Paula be truly moved—reminding her of her own dragon…
This way, pets wouldn’t start with only weak Shells or just wooden helmets. From the beginning, players could protect their pets’ vital parts—gaining buffs through equipment, making pets stronger.
The description for the wooden Dragon Armor could playfully remind players to fish—because without fishing, it’s hard to get better Dragon Armor 😉
Next, we could have Wing Armor/Armor Slots specifically for flying and land pets. This type of armor usually requires lots of Iron Ingots, Iron Blocks, Gold Ingots, Gold Blocks, Kryptonite…, directly introducing new gameplay to the pet system (like knockback-resistant spikes, or even an idea that allows Dragon Riders to truly wield swords while riding dragons: Slashing Wing Armor.
While riding flying pets like Dragons or Phoenixes, if the main collision box of the Dragon/Phoenix overlaps with a boss or hostile creature, it triggers a casting sound, blue slash effects, and spell damage! Then, the pet’s body glows with a light membrane, flickering for a while to remind the player—yes~ you triggered a special effect!
The special effect is: if the ridden pet still overlaps with the creature, the pet’s physical collision is disabled (while the player’s collision remains unchanged). This allows sword-wielding players on large-model pets to attack enemies with their swords. If the angle permits, the pet and enemy could even “exchange hits.” Alternatively, it could boost speed. This equipment would significantly change the pet’s appearance, like adding small Kryptonite-textured engravings on the wings—not too many, but enough to look premium and match the coolness of the new promotional art!
Tail Accessory Slot?! We’d love to see little black dragons with ribbons on their tails… Maybe the Dragon Armor slot could have a Christmas hat decoration, bringing back the Christmas version Santa hat?
    Here’s a personal recommendation:
    Mati Sword
    One-handed weapon
Prerequisites:Enhance the knockback of light orb-style explosions, add a simpler puzzle to the Cosmic Forge Fire, and hint that the flames hold potential for harnessing Phoenix energy. Also, allow destroyed Mati to have a chance to drop red eye-shaped items from its model… Mati Eye!
On hit, it releases explosive light orbs like those from Phoenix wing flaps, with strong knockback. The blade is wreathed in flames. When carried in the backpack (or held if too strong), it intimidates nearby small mobs, keeping them away (unless you attack first). This intimidation gives high-altitude Dragon Riders more time to work, preventing them from being knocked back by spiders while jumping at high speed in caves or forests. After dealing fixed explosive damage, the sword inflicts 3 seconds of fire damage without extra effects (maybe with slight knockback like sunlight, resembling internal combustion). (Since it scales with spell damage skills, 3 seconds might be too strong—could be nerfed. But single swords already lose out in attack speed and attachment efficiency compared to dual swords.)
    Crafting recipe:
    · Center: Mati Eye
    · Left & Right: Dragon Scales
    · Top Row: lots of Nandan Bars
    · Below Mati Eye: Ornate Relief dropped by Golems
    · Left of Relief: ample Phoenix Fire
    · Right of Relief: single Cosmic Forge Fire
Nandan Bar? Nandan Bar? Nandan Bar?
Dragon Scale? Mati Eye Dragon Scale?
Phoenix Fire? Golem Relief Cosmic Forge Fire
Maybe add a new boss in space that uses a Golem Bow, or an acid-spitting insect boss in the Acid Layer!
This sword, paired with a Phoenix Shield, could address the lack of longsword content after all the pet additions. Also, a Golem Bow (crafted with Golem Relief Blocks, Heaven Ore, Kryptonite, and Phoenix Feathers) could optimize trajectory—adding extra range and base fire rate. Both weapons could offer life regeneration, maybe some max HP, and quick spell damage attachment (using short-duration spell damage to improve skill point efficiency). (Other weapons could be rebalanced or some staves buffed, like the Tentacle Staff—I already have ideas.)

That is—using the Experience Book adventure system to strengthen the staff system.
Currently, there’s a rocky wasteland—maybe expand some edge structures, placing Van Meter on these gold-filled mansions! Van Meter from the UMA series—mysterious creatures immune to guns, similar to Chupacabra! They, along with some existing creatures, could drop Experience Book scraps. These scraps combine into Scrolls. Then, place the staff itself in the center of the crafting grid, with the Scroll below it, to synthesize an enhanced staff! Or synthesize Experience Books added to chests (same icon as the realistic mode world icon).
I also have some reference ideas for staff recipes… The main concept is modular material combinations for staves, facilitating future enhancements.
    Fire Staff:
    Magma Bucket x3,Ruby, Magic Brick
    Iron Ingot
    Iron Ingot
    Dark Staff:
    Sapphire,Skeleton Skull, Sapphire x2
    Bone
    Bone
Spire Staff (currently its true DPS matches World Breaker; for modularity, higher cost might be okay):
    Kryptonite, Emerald, Dragon Scale
Dragon Scale, Stick, Heaven Ore x2
    Stick
    Tentacle Staff:
Gold Bar,Hell Bush x13, Gold Bar
    Stick, Gold Bar x2,
    Heaven Ore (optional), Stick↖←
    Trident: QAQ
Sun Fragment:QAQ (These two could be end-game… not sure yet.)
Blue-skinned aliens might be the native extraterrestrials of the main world! Our Amber set got buffed, but now it clearly outshines all previous sets, which might be unreasonable. When crafting the Amber set, we could involve these aliens. After completing their quests, they could assist with modular design, adding Nandan Bars, Gold Bars, Dragon Hearts, Meteorite Ore, and Springs to the Dragon set to synthesize a new Amber set (since we already have Amber Bricks and replicators are a must, significantly boosting this set with some extra cost is fine).
    Amber Helmet:
Gold Bar x3,Amber Brick, Gold Bar x3
Nandan Bar, Dragon Helmet, Nandan Bar
Dragon Scale x5, Dragon Heart x2, Dragon Scale x5
    Amber Chestplate:
Gold Bar x3,Amber Brick, Gold Bar x3
Nandan Bar x2, Dragon Chestplate, Nandan Bar x2
Dragon Scale x5, Dragon Heart x5, Dragon Scale x5
    Amber Leggings:
Gold Bar x3,Amber Brick, Gold Bar x3
Nandan Bar x2, Dragon Leggings, Nandan Bar x2
Dragon Scale x5, Dragon Heart x5, Dragon Scale x5
    Amber Boots:
Gold Bar x2,Amber Brick, Gold Bar x2
Nandan Bar, Dragon Leggings, Nandan Bar
Dragon Scale x3, Spring, Dragon Scale x3
~~Or negotiating with the blue aliens to modify the body for an extra equipment slot: Enhancement Slot, would also be nice.~~
It’s best if the tutorial includes how to allocate skill points, as new players might not understand clicking those icons. Also, there are some translation issues everyone knows about. If the textures could be HD-fixed, and the exquisite buildings from the community gallery, as well as the castles from the old promotional materials, could be truly integrated into the game, it would also contribute to promotion and attract more players.
Loading screens could also have tips, like:
    · You can use Soul Eaters to create spawners.
    · Raise your dragon to adulthood to fight the Dragon Lord.
    · Sponges can completely remove liquids.
    · To complete quests, you need to gather enough cobwebs.
    · Consume your Stone Pickaxe to obtain Gold.
    · Open the Shop in your inventory to exchange Gold Ore for Iron Ore.
Also, currently, environmental block damage and same-element monster healing are way too high compared to the old version. A burning log can instantly kill our pets. In the Nether, we hardly dare let pets roam freely—only riding dragons is somewhat safe.
That veteran player also mentioned that the knockback effect is really annoying, which could probably be improved…

    · Meteor Dragon: The area-of-effect from its fire breath’s preparation animation pulls enemies in before the explosion.
    · Dragon Lord Pet: Changes the weather when ridden. After a brief casting delay (based on an internal cooldown), it adds a mud ball that deals 25-50 base damage (scales with skill points).
    · Mati: Has a chance to negate damage.
    · Phoenix: Can revive itself once. It also performs a backflip that releases a fireball.

      · The Meteor Dragon’s fire breath wind-up pulls enemies into the blast zone.
      · When ridden, the Dragon Lord Pet changes the weather and, after a short delay following the player’s own spellcast, it will hurl a mud ball (on an internal cooldown).
      · Mati has a chance to ignore damage entirely.
      · The Phoenix can self-revive once, and it shoots a fireball as part of its evasive backflip maneuver.

        Finalized Version & Apology:

My apologies for the confusion earlier; I had made some mistakes. The following is the correct and final version of the suggestions:

        · Meteor Dragon: During its fire breath’s preparation (wind-up) animation, create an area-of-effect that pulls enemies in before the explosion.
        · Dragon Lord Pet: While ridden, it changes the weather. Then, after a brief delay following the player’s own spell cast, and based on its internal cooldown, it will fire an additional mud ball. This mud ball deals 25-50 base damage and scales with the player’s skill points.
        · Mati: It has a chance to completely negate an instance of incoming damage.
        · Phoenix: It possesses the ability to revive itself once. Furthermore, when it turns to disengage (performs its evasive maneuver), it should also shoot a fireball.

owever, having the ridden Dragon Lord Pet change the weather might impair the player’s visual clarity/visibility… It could also contradict the established lore, and furthermore, the hostile Dragon Lord already drops the Skull item which is used to change the weather…
